Welcome to the JD section of the LSS website.
JD students should be well into the swing of things by now given their January 29 start date. So now that you’ve got your feet grounded, it’s a good time to have a browse around the LSS website and see what’s on offer to help you get the most out of your JD experience and position yourself for a career you want in law.
As you can see, there are already many events and materials which are being organised by the LSS for 2010 and which we encourage you to take advantage of. Additionally, we will occasionally be holding JD specific events which will be advertised on this webpage, so be sure to check in regularly. For the JD students beginning this year we also have a Facebook page at www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=355011321949. So if you are an LSS member and have a Facebook account, just become a fan of the JD page and you will be able to view what’s happening there.
We understand that JD students have their own unique set of commitments, interests and needs. Therefore any questions, suggestions or comments in relation to the LSS would be greatly appreciated in helping us tailor the LSS to JD students. In that regard please feel free to email Mike Pernat or Ella Pope at jd@monashlss.com or send us a message on Facebook, or just come and find us for a chat.
Additionally, we would be grateful if you could complete the brief LSS for JD questionnaire if you have not already done so.
Finally, for all of you JD students who want to get involved but haven’t yet signed up to the LSS, memberships can be purchased from the LSS office in Clayton. We are also looking to have a number of days when we will be in the city campus to sell memberships so keep an eye out on your global emails.
