JD Peer Mentor Program

The LSS Juris Doctor Peer Mentor Program provides an opportunity for students within their first three trimesters of the JD degree to be mentored by another student who has completed their first three trimesters of the same degree. This opportunity will involve the transfer of experience, skills and knowledge; developing insight, learning and development in relation to studying law and in particular the JD.

Students at the start of each Trimester who have indicated an intention to be mentored will be allocated a mentor, where available, by the LSS Juris Doctor Portfolio. Pairings are required to meet at least once every three weeks, until the end of the Trimester, at locations, times and dates determined between the pair. The Mentor Program may also involve various networking opportunities for mentors and mentees to meet with others undertaking the program.
